Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. Most video rental stores in America have gone extinct and outside specific Red Box Kiosks there aren't a lot of places for consumers to rent video games. The exception, of course, being thr

SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.

X_X Mañana a esta hora estaré en el aeropuerto embarcando en mi avión low-cost. Mañana por la tarde estaré en Londres.

¡¡¡Y todavía tengo muchísimas cosas que hacer!!! Mi maleta todavía está vacía, no sé si seis camisetas y tres vestidos son demasiado o demasiado poco para siete días. No pude sacarme la tarjeta sanitaria europea así que tendré que llevar la española. Voy a tener que mendigar comida. No miré mis apuntes de Historia del Arte y voy a visitar el British Museum, la National Gallery y la Tate Britain. Todavía tengo que apuntar cosas sobre algunos sitios a los que vamos a ir. Tengo que imprimir las entradas del concierto de Murder by Death en Oxford. Y tengo que afeitarme las piernas y decolorarme el bigote (lol) y mi flequillo es 2cm más largo de lo que debería!!

Sí, me pongo bastante histérica con los viajes.

Y lo que más me jode es perderme por dos semanas de mierda el rodaje del especial de dos horas de Bones en Londres.

And there's too much to do!!!!!!!! My suitcase is still empty, I don't know if six t-shirts and three dresses are too much or not enough for seven days. I couldn't get my European medical care card so I'll have to use my Spanish card. I'm so going to have to beg for food. I didn't revise my History of Art notes and I'm going to visit the British Museum, the National Gallery and the Tate Britain. I still have to take notes about the places we're visiting. I have to print the tickets for Murder by Death's concert in Oxford. And I have to shave my legs and bleach my moustache (lol) and my fringe is 2cm longer than it should!!

You can tell I get quite hysterical about trips.

And what bugs me the most is that I missed for only two weeks the shooting of the two-hour special episode of Bones in London.

Unos consejos! pa pedir agua pide "mineral water" o "still water", si no te la daran con gas xD

Y si te gusta el caffe, el que tomamos en españa es "expresso" si pides un cafe normal te dan un té de cafe xD (aunque bueno puede que ya lo sepas... yo no lo sabia xD)

Al lao del Big beng, en el puente hay un puesto que vende creeps con chocolates buenisimos <3

Los parques estan llenos de ardillas rojas que incluso les puedes dar de comer con la mano, todo el mundo les saca fotos xD

Qué mooooooooooooooooooooooooono!! Aunque lo leí a la vuelta, muchas gracias! XD No tuvimos problema con lo del agua ni lo del café, siempre nos preguntaban o lo tenían explicao en la carta. =3 Si hubiera sabido lo de las crepes del Big Ben... XD Y vimos una ardilla! Era graciosísima! Se nos acercó en Kensington Gardens pensando que teníamos comida, pero no teníamos. XD Aún así se quedó un rato mirándonos con cara de "Bueno, y la comida? Dónde está? Es para hoy o qué?" y era genial. XDDDDD

Espero que te lo pases tan genial como yo. XD Sácate la Oyster card para los viajes, es comodísima. Es como la CTA pero puedes cargar viajes para otras zonas de uno en uno en vez de tener que cargar de diez en diez y que te salga carísimo. Mmmm... No sé qué más consejos te puedo dar. Ah, que mires bien antes de cruzar porque aparte de venir de sitios insospechados, conducen como animales. XD Los autobuses no frenan hasta que no están a diez cm del de delante! Y llévate una botella de agua para rellenar porque todo está carísimo, aunque en la mayoría de los sitios los muy cabrones tienen agua caliente en los baños. XD Y si no tienes pelas vete a un Tesco (supermercado) que tienen pila bocadillos y smoothies y cosas ricas y raras como café frío en botella y sushi. XD
